The Bye Byes all-in-one snow suit has been very popular already. Although the weather has been mild so far this winter, our customers are preparing for the colder weather. The snowsuit is padded and microfleece lined, with a fake fur trim and is available for girls or boys. The suit is warm, waterproof and windproof. This babies snowsuit also comes with a free pair of matching booties.

Scandinavian Childrens Waterproofs – Mikk-Line from Denmark

There is buzz and excitement in the air, for the new awaited childrens waterproof clothing brand from Denmark has arrived! Mikk-line is new to us and new to the UK market and we were thrilled to be stocking this fantastic brand.

Scandinavians know a thing or two about outdoor clothing and this range from Denmark has been designed for outdoor play in tough Scandinavian winters. We couldn’t wait to rip open the boxes and have a good look at these new and exciting Danish childrens rain suits.

 

We have started with a kids 2 piece rain suit and we have a whole lot of fun new waterproofs to come over the next few months! A tough, waterproof, breathable and windproof dungarees and jacket set in an ultra soft PU coated fabric. It is highly durable for childrens outdoor play and of course, as with all our waterproofs, the seams are taped to stop any water getting in through the stitching. At the moment, we stock 2 colourways, Petrol Blue and Fuchsia. Other colours are available and we have already put through a special order in navy for one of our school customers, so if you need a particular colour for your school or playgroup, please ask.

The quality is excellent (Waterproof (>8000 mm H2O) and Breathable (>2000 g/m2/24h)) for the price, since the suit comprises of a waterproof jacket and dungarees combo. This again is new for us, we have never actually sold a complete 2 piece suit before and we are thrilled with the low price. Target Dry have just launched a new childrens all-in-one waterproof suit in some exciting new colourways which will entice your kids outdoors whatever the weather. The Rascal splash suit will keep children dry when they play outdoors in the rain, whilst the clever double seat keeps puddle jumping toddlers extra dry.

Columbia Kids Snow Suits

This is the second year we have stocked the Columbia childrens winter clothing range. It was very popular last year, especially once the snow arrived in December, hence the eager anticipation of the 2010 range! This year we have a selection of fleece all-in-one suits, 2 piece snow suits consisting of dungarees and jacket, and all-in-one down bunting snow suits.

Childrens Waterproof Rain Suits

Since our beginings, childrens all-in-one waterproof rainsuits have been best sellers here at Adventure Togs. We started with the Jumbo Suit and Keela Waterbug, both lightweight childrens waterproofs. Over time we have introduced the Bubbles Suit, by Target Dry, Togz all-in-one waterproof suit and just recently, the Baby Buff from Buffalo Systems.

 

 

The benefits of an all-in-one waterproof for younger children is simply that there are no gaps for water to get in. Elasticated cuffs and ankles, full body zips, hoods and taped seams means there is no way those rain drops can seep in. Lightweight pacable rain suits can be stowed away in the corner of your rucksac and the more robust breathable Togz Rainwear can be comfortably worn for extended periods of outdoor play. Also, no gap at the waistline means no draughts!

Teachers seem to prefer the all-in-one suits for outdoor play at school as a one piece is quicker and often easier for a child to put on themselves than separates. They take up less storage room and of course an all-in-one is always cheaper than separate waterproof trousers and jacket.

It has become so important that we protect our skin from the damaging rays of the sun. Reading an article in the Telegraph last Saturday Doctor Dawood: Why do we carry on tanning? made me realise that many people are still not taking the dangers seriously enough. There is no excuse for sunburn when there so many excellent sun protection products on the market. In addition to the multitude of high uv factor lotions and potions, there is clothing which will almost totally block out UV rays. We have recently introduced some Konfidence Childrens UV Protective Clothing to our range. From UV protection t-shirts  to long sleeve UV Suits for babies and toddlers. The range also comes with matching hats.

Havaianas flip flops have just arrived from Brazil! The moment we have been waiting for, with anticipation. We have a lovely range to choose from, although it was incredibly difficult deciding what to stock, as they were all so fab. I spent hours with Gareth, the Havaianas rep…my living room strewn with a colourful array of the most comfortable footwear imaginable.

I usually find between the toe footwear uncomfortable, but not these. Sooo comfortable! Now, I must paint my toe nails and pray for sunshine :)
